SCN8A AWARENESS AND RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS

SCN8A Awareness Day

At the age of four, Oliver lost both of his parents in a car accident. Oliver was in the car at the time of the accident and, although he walked away without any physical injuries, he was emotionally devastated. With help from DoGood, Oliver became very active in sports and, although this can’t take away the pain of losing his parents, it has helped him to rediscover joy.

As the sixth of nine children, Daniella’s parents did not have a lot of time and they missed the warning signals that something was not quite right at school. Luckily, a social worker from DoGood noticed that Daniella’s grades were dropping and realised she was having trouble reading and writing. Now Daniella has the extra help she needs to excel at school - and life.
